Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accounting Analyst for Unisoft International, Inc is a key position on the finance team. This position will be challenged to use analytical skills to help continue the growth of the finance team by helping implement and discover best practices for financial reporting, internal policies and reporting structure. The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for analyzing multiple subsidiaries and currencies for all US and EMEA international locations.  

Key responsibilities:

  • The following responsibilities will be performed for both US and EMEA locations:
  • Oversee month-end closing process verify accuracy
  • Analysis and review of GL activity and financial statements accuracy
  • Analysis of processes and help with implanting best practices for financial reporting
  • Review and analyze monthly revenue recognition, prepaid expenses and accrual process for accuracy
  • Review and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the team and take ownership of the more complex reconciliations
  • Produce and maintain monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports with the Controller
  • Assist Controller in budget and forecast process 
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Work with Controller on implementing and/or improving internal procedures and efficiencies
  • Assist with special projects and research projects
  • Serve as a backup to all positions and provide operational assistance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedure as part of SMA’s ISO 27001:2013 Certification program and SOC
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere

Competencies:

  • Advanced analysis of financial reports
  • Extensive international experience in EMEA countries
  • Act as internal auditor for adherence to US GAAP, ISO and SOC requirements
  • Strong computer and software skills required; Advanced Excel, Salesforce and FinancialForce preferred 
  • Strong reconciliation experience with deferred revenues and prepaids using subledgers
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills -- verbal and written 
  • Ability to respond well under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks at maximum efficiency with little to no supervision
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work with executives to understand their analysis / reporting needs and clearly explain the results

 

Qualifications:

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience

Required: 5-10 years of related experience

Preferred: 8+ years of related experience

 

Certifications

Required:  None

Preferred: CPA designation
